ANGELS ARE MESSENGERS WHO OFTEN WHISPER IN OUR EAR

Love often speaks as an intuitive thought.  Many times in moments of need, an angelic Voice will whisper in our ear what is needed in a given situation.  When this happens, discernment definitely helps.  We don’t want wishful thinking to rule the moment.  If words of authority unexpectedly come to mind, let them flow freely.  It is then our choice as to whether we convey the message to the one in need.

There will be times when you feel awkward by the contents of the message.  It may sound even unbelievable.  I simply trust and believe.  One striking example involved a friend and her husband.  She was emotionally sharing how her husband was gravely ill in the hospital.  They have two young boys.  Three different surgeries had already been performed before a pacemaker could function properly.

Divine Love, an angel whispering, gave me a message of hope and encouragement for the young mother.  The words clearly stated that the children’s father would live for many years a vital and fruitful life.  The message stressed that she need not fear, but be patient and have faith for all would soon be well.  She was to trust and look past the frightening experience.  The message still rings true.  I always listen carefully and ask only for pure love to speak.  A message of hope was given.  It is a tremendous responsibility to relay such a powerful life and death statement.

An ironic twist to this story was the wife’s enthusiasm landed me a speaking opportunity at her church Adult Sunday School Class.  I happened to choose the subject of Light.  I know of twenty-one beautiful verses in the Bible that refer to the Light of God.

How was my talk received?  There was an uproar! A woman stood up pounding her Bible stating that the subject, Light, only held true for biblical days and not in today’s world.  The consciousness of the class was obviously divided. I felt sad for the wife whose faith had been strengthened and hope received through the angelic message.  She was filled with gratitude and only wanted to share her relief and happiness with others.  Someone on the staff made a recording of my talk and labeled it ‘non-Christian’.

How did I respond?  When we are confident in our faith, the only response is equanimity, one of my favorite words.

Psalm 119:105 your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path

GUILT MAY CAUSE DISTURBANCES IN THE MIND AND BODY

Time and time again, I have seen how the lack of forgiveness has prolonged a good person’s pain and suffering.  The following is a good example.  An acquaintance has a daughter with cerebral palsy.  The parent brought the daughter to our home for a consultation and healing.  She came in a wheelchair and after the session walked to their car.  Weeks later, the father brought her back for another appointment.  Her disability had returned.  I asked the young woman what had she been thinking about before her condition worsened.  She simply hung her head and would not look me in the eye.

The angels came to my rescue with a flash of light accompanied and an intuitive thought.  The young woman felt shame about her past actions.  When directly asked what was the cause of the guilt, she mentioned her difficulty in forgiving herself for having sexual relationships with her boyfriend.  In her mind, she did not deserve a healing or any spiritual help.  The young woman was her own judge, jury, and prisoner.  Feelings of love self-esteem and unworthiness will definitely work against harmony and healing.  Shame blocks the receiving of good.

It is not easy for everyone to accept God’s unconditional love.  Many people need to change their view of the Creator from a judge to a loving Indescribable Presence and Power.  Forgiveness, regardless of the circumstance, is a great healer because it works to restore harmony and inner peace.

DO HEALED PATIENTS SOMETIMES REJECT A HEALING?

Yes.  I have experienced many bizarre happenings in the years that I have personally been involved with prayer, healing and the Holy Spirit.  Here are two excellent examples where in each case the fully healed women called me several weeks later and telling me they no longer wanted their healings.

The first woman was a young mother of a preschool child.  She had a disease called MS.  The disability was already hampering her lifestyle.  The power and presence of the Holy Spirit healed her so thoroughly that her husband who I didn’t know at the time called me on the phone telling me how they now were not only bowling again but also having sex.  I am not interested in private details but understood his enthusiasm.

I asked the young mother why she no longer wished to be healed.  Her answer shocked me.  Although the father of the child was working full time, they were receiving monthly disability payment for the wife’s disease.  The woman in good conscience knew that she could no longer receive disability if she were healed.  The bottom line was the desire to keep the monthly checks in a savings account for the college education of their daughter later in life.  I found the reason outrageous but said nothing.  Months later, she attempted to write me an apologetic note and I could barely decipher her handwriting.  The MS had returned.

Another good example was the senior woman who had suffered a stroke that left one arm limp.  I never met her.  The healing was handled remotely.  Again, she was quickly and fully healed.  About six weeks later, she called saying she no longer wanted the use of her right arm.  Shocked, I asked why.  It so happened that her husband was a wonderful help to her while she was disabled.  Soon as she was normal, his help stopped.  She decided she wanted his help more than being healed.   Although rare, these two cases clearly illustrate how strongly the mind, will, and feelings create what happens in our lives.

HEALING IS A COOPERATIVE ACTION

To put into words what is in my heart is not an easy task.  My love for Source, Cause, that which we call God is overwhelming.  My life has always been filled with visions, healing, wonder and grace.  Personally, I feel the best way to ‘teach’ spirituality is to be an example and share our experiences. May the examples that I choose to share give you hope and a realization that you, too, can be a healing helper with the loving energy of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit knows what is to be corrected.  There have been more times than not when I haven’t any idea at all as to what the problem is with a client.  I frequently learn what the concern was much later.  As an example, a teenager came to me with a diagnosed growth inside her head.  At the time of her visit, she never mentioned what was wrong.  It wasn’t until later I found out that the growth vanished and the surgery was canceled.

Another woman asked that my hands be placed on her wrists. She gave no explanation and I didn’t ask.  A week later, she informed me that her carpal tunnel surgery had been canceled.  Recipients are usually pretty nonchalant around me.  They frequently assume I intuitively know everything about them.  I don’t.  I never spend more than fifteen minutes with someone who asks for help and I always call on the Holy Spirit.  My understanding is that the Holy Spirit knows exactly what to do.  My love and trust serves as a conscious transmitter or transparency of the sacred energy available anytime or anywhere.

All healing does not take place in the same way.  Some people even reject a healing after having received it.  It is a fascinating subject involving many levels of understanding with the consciousness of the ‘patient’ playing a big part in the results.

The presence and action of the Holy Spirit are recognized not only in the Church but also outside it, and above all in other religions.  The Spirit has been at work in the world before Jesus came to earth.  We are called to the same divinity, which is divine.  The Holy Spirit offers to all of us the possibility of being made partners.

Happy New Year!
Love,
